We joke but it's true—this wine has cultivated a throng of die-hard fans that just can't get enough of our off-dry Sable. And it's not like we can blame them, Sable is just so easy to love.
Pizza and spaghetti lovers know to reach for this lush, soft red. This is a blend of red wines with a touch of sweetness. Not to mention it's lovely chilled, making it a go-to red for summer.
Aromas of fresh berries and spice are backed up by hints of jam and oak. Very soft and plush in the mouth, with perfect integration of flavors.

Sable provided the most entertainment we have had in a long time for under $12. (we're club members - highly recommend) We were intrigued by Sable at a tasting and brought some home to enjoy. Like the label says, great with pizza. Good with cheese too. It is fruity, we tasted cherry and raspberry, a beautiful dark violet reddish color with a smooth long finish. Not sweet nor dry, just right. We tasted and smelled black pepper and some "other spice", so we dug into the spice cabinet to see if we could identify the "other." Best we could come up with was along the lines of dill or fennel. The wine was well chilled when we started but got even better as it warmed. Some earthiness that reminded us of a pinotage we had one time came out. Tim also noted what he called "crunchiness", like flavor pops in a well aged cheddar. Chewing the wine brought this feature out. Not sure about joining a cult - no upcoming Sable tattoos, but will definitely buy and enjoy again.
