A traditionally made, fortified wine that is aged in oak barrels.
Small quantities of perfectly ripe fruit were gently crushed and inoculated with our favorite yeast strain. Fermentation lasted just a few days, and was arrested with considerable sugar remaining by the addition of neutral grape spirit. The wine was then aged in older oak to attain its characteristic softness and complexity.
This sweet fortified wine
bursts with blackberry, blueberry and plum aromas. Its mouthfeel is all about
velvet and fire.

I bought this while visiting family in central NY this summer. I read about people drinking Port in the English novels I enjoy and wanted to try it.
It tasted so good that after I finished the bottle I ordered more.

The Ruby Port is outstanding. It is as smooth and tasteful some as some imported Ports that I have had from Portugal. Cheers to Fox Run!!

This port has a great flavor and a fantastic finish. The only problem I have with it is the bottle is to small hands down the best port I have ever drank.
