One of the Finger Lakes' strongest red grapes, Lemberger presents exceptionally well as a young wine and also has serious aging potential.
Aromas of fresh blackberries, raspberry jam, and a suggestion of black pepper are followed by rich plum and red cherry flavors that evolve to sweet vanilla. Moderate tannins mark this as an excellent food wine.
The 2017 Lemberger was awarded a gold medal at the Indy International Wine Competition. Enjoy!

The Fox Run Lemberger and Cab Franc has been a favorite of mine for years and is our "go to" wines for the holidays. Both wines have a great body, bouquet and finish reminding one of sitting by an open fire and watching the snow flakes coming down outside. When visiting family in Western N.Y. a few years ago I took my wife to Fox Run for her first visit and she enjoyed the wine so much that she ordered 3 cases. To this day she talks about us sitting on the deck at Fox Run enjoying her first taste of Fox Run Lemberger while taking in the beautiful view of the lake and surrounding scenery. Every time we go back to Rochester to visit my son,Karen makes sure that a visit to Fox Run is on our itinerary.
